The 2012 National Buffalo Wing Festival

The National Buffalo Wing Festival will be held on Labor Day weekend, and 2012 will mark the 11th annual occurrence of this Buffalo tradition. Each year, tens of thousands of people travel from across the United States and other countries to gather at Coca-Cola field and celebrate the almighty finger food that made this website possible… the Buffalo Wing!

Bring The Wing will be there to cover the event, and Brian will also be participating in judging the Traditional Medium category of the National Sauce Off Competition, in which over thirty local and out of town restaurants from across America will serve over 100 different styles of wing sauces this year. In addition to wing sauces, the festival will also feature live music, The U.S. Chicken Wing Eating Championship, Miss Buffalo Wing Pageant, and so much more! Tickets are $5 per day, and children 8 and under are free. Portions of the proceeds are donated to the local charities including the Alzheimer’s Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Food Bank of WNY, and Meals on Wheels.
