The Good Dog Bar is not only known for its multiple framed photos of dogs on every wall, but also for its cleverly adapted food. Featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, Good Dog Bar takes comfort foods to another level with such items as Duck Pot Pie and Baked Mac & Cheese. So needless to say, I’m excited to see what they have done to elevate the classic Buffalo wing. (read more…)

Once again I found myself in Reading, PA looking for a new place to grab some wings. This time while in the west side of town, I decided to try out a place called the Canal Street Pub. From the outside, the building looked humongous and gave the illusion of a grandiose bar with multiple levels. But don’t be fooled, upstairs is actually a Khaki store and the bar resides only on the main level. It is still quite large and has a couple of rooms, though I found myself staying right in the main bar area because of its nice laid back feel. I grabbed a beer, picked up the Pub Menu and (read more…)
I was out in Reading again for work, and being that I had a bad experience at the Peanut Bar last time I visited Berks County, I decided to branch out and see where else I can go to rustle up some good wings. Dinner time was just around the corner, and out of a couple of choices, we ultimately decided on Flanagan’s in Shillington – which as luck would have it turned out to be wing night.

This place is widely known for their wonderfully busty waitresses with their scantily clad outfits serving you food and beer during the big game. It is also widely known for having some of the best wings, but this is up to speculation.
Every time I get into a conversation about wings with a group of people, there is always someone who goes on and on about Hooters’ wings and how incredible they are. With the talk of boobs, wings, and beer, it didn’t take much arm twisting (read more…)
I was down in Glassboro not too long ago doing some work with the EMS when my stomach made it perfectly clear that it was lunch time. Not only that, but it apparently had already made a deal with my taste buds and together had decided what we were having… so here comes the cravings. WWWWIIINNGS!!! When those cravings come calling I assure you that I answer, and I answer swiftly. Being that I was out of town, I relied on Bob, who was from the area, to direct me to get some good grub which for him seemed like an easy decision: The Landmark Americana.
The Landmark Americana, as it turns out, is a small chain of Restaurant/Bars that are scattered around the Philadelphia area and boast good and natural food with (read more…)
