DaveandBusters

Anyone who’s anyone in the Philadelphia area has heard of Dave & Buster’s. For those of you who haven’t, they are a pretty big chain of sports bars that offer food, drinks, and games for adults. Feel like playing pool or shuffleboard? How about a game of Pac-Man? They have it all. And, the best part is… You can be drunk while playing them, ’cause let’s face it, games are much more entertaining when you are only using half of your brain.

Dave & Buster’s restaurants are located in many large cities such as New York, San Diego, and Chicago, but my wife and I took a trip to our nearby Philly location to get some wings and have some fun. We sat down, grabbed a drink (or two), and looked over the menu to see what wingalicious (read more…)

During our weekend in Buffalo for the 2012 National Buffalo Festival, we had our fill of wings. Wings for breakfast, wings for lunch, wings for dinner. I know it sounds crazy, but when you love wings as much as I do and you are in the Buffalo wing capital of the world, you have to soak up as much as you can before that seven hour drive home. And seeing how the car was all fueled up, the only thing left to do was fuel up the bellies. So I took the advice of Mark from Wy’s Wings (a Buffalo native), and headed over to Bar Bill Tavern to get some quality grub.

Located in East Aurora, just on (read more…)

On our travels to the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, NY, we endured a nice little seven hour drive from Jersey. I thought that this would be a great opportunity to stop at some local bars en route to get primed up for the main event, and to also see what New York would bring to the table. I mean, this is roughly the area where Buffalo wings were born, so I was hoping to see some top notch product.

Lunch time grew nearer and the hunger started to set in. By that time we were near Corning, a small town in west New York, so we looked (read more…)

The Chicken or the Egg

Chegg

The Chicken or the Egg in Beach Haven is well known not only locally, but also nationwide for having one of the most ridiculous challenges out there… The Ludicrous Challenge!! It got its nationwide notoriety when “Man vs. Food” star Adam Richman took on this insane challenge by eating 12 of the restaurant’s “Ludicrous” wings within 15 minutes. Locally, they are also very well known for being one of the best breakfast nooks in the area… hence the name: The Chicken or the Egg.

I’m not a hot head, and prefer to actually keep my taste buds in tact, so this particular challenge doesn’t (read more…)

FirstNTen

I was driving down 295 when I started to get a little rumbling in my belly, and seeing how it was about lunch time, I figured that I would find a place to grab some wings. It just so happens that I was in the Hamilton/Trenton area, and I remember getting a “Suggest a Joint” from Ted who told me that I needed to stop in and grab the wings at First N’ Ten Sports Pub because they are the best. What better chance to feed my craving and check out a local hot spot all at the same time.

I pulled into this rustic looking building on Hamilton Rd, walked into the (read more…)
