While flying around from place to place looking for great wings, I stopped in a small New Hampshire town called Keene. Now, Keene is known nationally for the spectacular pumpkin festival that they have each year in October, where 29,000 or so artistically carved pumpkins light up the night for all to enjoy. Unfortunately for me, it is not October. However, it is ALWAYS wing season, so I ran down the road to a wing joint that was recommended for having great wings.

With a name like Joe Peanut’s House of Wings, you can expect (read more…)

After spending some time in St. Louis and taking pictures with the Gateway Arch like a good tourist, I had a hankering for some good food. By good food, I mean hot and spicy, and there is only one man I know in the area that can point me in the right direction. Scott Roberts is a well-known Chilehead and columnist that specializes in reviewing hot and spicy foods nationwide. Though they have a large sit down area, I opted for the bar so I could pester the bartender with pointless facts about peppers. I grabbed a beer and menu to see that they had many selections ranging from (read more…)

How often do I find myself in Indiana? Not that often. So when the opportunity arose to grab some wings in the The Crossroads of America state, I was all for it. Wings Etc. is a popular chain found mostly in the Midwest, and because we don’t have these around my neck of the woods, I felt obligated to see what makes them popular.

Lunch came-a-calling, so I popped into this establishment (read more…)

Wings Over Farmingdale

wingsoverfarmingdale

While up in Long Island again for yet ANOTHER trip, I was traveling down Main Street in Farmingdale and I started to get an urge for some wings. Could it be that I just passed Croxley’s Ale House and have eaten their wings before? Very possible. But just a couple of doors down was yet another wing joint with a crazy ass sign that read “Wings Over Farmingdale.” So, I parked the car and headed in to see what it was all about.
