Copperhead Grille

After a long day of hearing the combined sound of children laughing and screaming at the Crayola Experience in Easton, PA (which is not worth it, by the way), the family was hungry for some good food. And seeing how one of my readers, Mike S., called me out for not posting a review since May, I figured it was a good time to jump back in and see what kind of wings they had up there in the Lehigh Valley. So we planned our route (read more…)

I recently got a “Suggest a Joint” request from Sharlene who told me that I needed to stop into Alstartz because their wings are great. From the outside this restaurant looked like a huge sports bar with tons of square footage and parking to boot. However, when I went inside, the décor and host greeting threw me a bit as it was more of a sophisticated and upper scale sports club, which I wasn’t prepared for. Golden Nugget Tavern

When talking about where to get great wings in South Jersey, there are always a bunch of names that constantly get repeated in the “Ya know where you gotta go, man…” conversation. Some of them include: Jug Handle Inn, Pic-A-Lilli’s, and 45th Street Pub. But there is another that shows up in that list which proved a bit harder to go out and review.

45th Street Pub

45th Street Pub is a small bar tucked right off Rt. 130 in Pennsauken that boasts incredible food. Not only do they have a 24lb burger with a 9″ bun, but they also offer a plethora of wing variations to suit almost every need. So, when my buddy Adam suggested this place for our lunch stop, he didn’t have to twist my arm to get me in there.

We made our way in the door and over to the u-shaped bar to grab some grub. But, the real question remained: How good are the wings? Just because you boast good food, doesn’t mean (read more…)

Russell’s Pic II

Friday, October 11th, 2013

It is no surprise to anyone who asks when I say that Pic-A-Lilli Inn’s wings are my favorite by far. But did you know that there are other Pic’s out there, such as Pic-A-Lilli’s in Atlantic City and Russell’s Pic II in Hammonton? They are all part of the family, and when Bonnie Lynn told me to stop into her uncle’s bar to grab some sweet wings, you know I did just that.

Russell’s Pic II is a little house-looking bar right off the White Horse Pike in Hammonton (read more…)
